Today, we gathered to celebrate an incredible milestone in Grandma’s journey; one year of recovery since her fractured hip and her triumphant return to walking. This dinner, sponsored by her granddaughter Lisa and her husband Richard Vasquez, was a beautiful moment of gratitude and joy for all of us.
We honored Grandma’s determination and resilience with a meal from El Jimador Mexican Restaurant, where so many of Grandma’s favorite memories have been made. It’s our family’s go to spot for celebrations, and Grandma’s favorite dishes brought back a flood of cherished memories.
We are so grateful to Lisa and Richard for making this special evening possible, and to everyone who joined to show their love and support: Roxane, Johnny, Susie, Manuel, Stella, and David. Your presence and kindness meant the world to Grandma as we celebrated this important step in her journey.
